I bought this stuff Feb 2014 and the batch number is dated 05/13...this doesn't sound NEW to me...I did not open it yet.
Disclaimer, I don't listen to much radio. So my experience is limited to listening to some stations while sitting in my driveway in a major city, during which I got excellent reception. However, the size of the antenna is awesome. The stock antenna would always hit my garage door and was pretty annoying. This stubby antenna solves that. Also, I don't know if my driving habits changed, but since I installed the antenna I am getting 0.5 more miles per gallon. Coincidence?
