This is my second PreCip jacket. Old one lasted 15 years before losing it's waterproof ability in a couple areas. Not bad for a jacket worn and used where the average rainfall is above 60 inches a year. And it was/is often worn as an outer wind blocking layer also. Packs light and small, very nice when camping and hiking, which we do a lot of. Breathability seems the same as the old one, and is excellent. Honestly only ever used the "pit vents" a couple times, they did work as designed, and the zippers are of good quality.
I Love how small this carrier is easy to assemble and take down to put it away the top and bottom zip together with the middle section folded up inside. for fast easy storage in a small space. to put it back together simply zip the sides to the top and bottom simple and easy. I will update after I have had this for a few months.
