This is by far one of the best collections of its kind. The stories are consistently interesting and almost all are truly off the beaten path. If you're not familiar with topics like the strategic maple syrup reserves, the desert area no country wants to claim, or why futures trading never includes onions, you'll enjoy this book.

I am a big advocate for reliable sources, and while this encyclopedia delivers (for the most part) quality content, the software is a disappointing flashback to the 1990's. The user interface, quality of videos and photos, and layout of the program is embarrassing. Also, many of the articles could be expanded upon!

For years I've had these reoccurring patches of red, itchy, flaky and irritated areas of dry skin on my face. My doctor said it was fungal. Anti fungal creams reams like Lamisil (terbinafine) or clotrimazole were effective but annoying to apply and as soon as I stopped applying the crams the redness would reappear.
