The concept seemed reasonable (it gets two stars for concept btw but that's it) and there were plenty of positive reviews but this thing is really a nightmare. Go take some rubber and brush your hair with it and tell me if you enjoy your hair sticking to the rubber bristles and getting ripped out as you pull...I mean like 20+ strands at a time! I even tried using an enormous amount of silicon based hair smoother to stop the pulling but didn't help...my hair was darn near dripping with silicon smoother & was still being pulled out. That's what this thing does. Also, it doesn't heat up to the advertised temperature...I checked with my laser thermometer which I know to be accurate and have only seen it get upto 285 F (even though indicator said it was cooking at 420). Also at that temp it smells like its burning as well...."mmmm burning rubber smell" said no one EVER! But what about straightening you ask? There was a slight straightening effect that occured after I decided to hold my hair on top (to lessen the pain) but that's it, slight. There was not a flattening or smoothing effect though so in my case, I ended up with semi-straight frizz which was a new one on me. I worked the same section over and over for 20mins and that was my result. Returned!

I'm really loving it so far. I really do feel immersed in the games and it's almost exactly what I was expecting so I'm very pleased with it. There is a alot of wires to deal with but setup is straightforward and laid out simply. The headset is super comfortable and I wore it for several hours at a time. Make sure you keep the lenses clean with the provided cloth and do the advanced setup other reviewers mentioned it helps make it perfect for each individual. The graphics of psvr are pretty good but in no way will it look anywhere near as good as ps4 games look on your hd/4k tv. That being said the fact that you are in a 3d environment will make up for the fact that the graphics are not as good as your used to and you really don't notice all that much once your in the thick of things. You will need a playstation camera to use psvr so make sure you pick that up if your looking at the base model you should also get two playstation move controllers as they enhance and in some cases are necessary for gameplay. There are also quite a few good games at launch. I can recommend batman Arkham vr, until dawn: rush of blood, eve valkyrie, drivclub (I like but might be the most disappointing in the graphics department), rez infinite and thumper. Those are just the ones I picked up so far and I'm looking forward to several more already. Also just in case your not aware as of this post there are only 6 games available on disc on amazon but there are i believe 30 games available on the playstation store to download and many many more coming out by the end of the year so don't be discouraged by a lack of games. So all in all If you've been wanting to get into vr I can whole heartedly highly recommend picking up a playstation vr.
