I LOVE THIS VACUUM/STEAMER! My entire house is either tile or hardwood, besides area rugs. It has always been a chore to keep my floors clean, especially the kitchen, which is the main thoroughfare in our house. I bought this after reading many, many reviews. I liked the idea of it vacuuming and steaming at the same time. I only ranked it a 4 though b/c I wish it was a little better at sucking up wet items. The steamer is great at loosening stuck on food (or whatever the kids, dog, husband dragged in), but it seems the vacuum has a hard time getting it up. The water tank may seem small but it lasts a long time. I was able to clean my entire main floor (about 1100 sf) three times before having to refill it. I love that you can toss the cleaning pad right into the washer. Regardless, it does an excellent job at cleaning the floors. My floors are cleaner (Sparkly!) and dry faster than when I used the swiffer. It's easier on my back and it takes me less than half the time it did before. It's more environmentally friendly too! GOOD-BYE SWIFFER!!
I ordered this for my husband who has cold hand issues due to his work. They work very well. You need to put fuel in them each time that you use them since it seems to evaporate if you fill it and not use it for a couple of days. I know that it will heat for as much as 6+ hours and is really nice and warm. It is not too hot for your hands even though it is warned not to be used without the case. The case does help to keep it cooler in your pocket. My husband said the older models were very hot and could melt your pocket left alone for any length of time. Overall I am very happy to have these in my pocket when the temperature is 30 degrees out and it helps keep my hands ready for my golf shots..
Great item! I bought these to use upnorth, as we have an outhouse, not indoor plumbing. They get pretty bright, and light the way just fine. I was really interested in the all weather selling point. We usually go up in the summer and fall, so it'd be nice to just stick these in the ground and leave them. Hopefully they last! They look like they're up for our wisconsin winter though! Durable and tough. If anything changes I'll be sure to update.
My husband has gifted me one of these beautiful snowflakes for every Christmas we have been with each other. So, the collection is very special to me. When I read the less than enthusiastic responses to this one, I thought, "Well, each one has been different and beautiful, so I'm sure this will be the same!" Except, it's not. At all. It's flat and unexciting. There is very little to recommend it. Which is a shame considering this is the 25th year the company has released one of these. Wouldn't you think it would be extravagant? I'll put it on my tree and add it to the previous years, but I hope Swarovski reads these reviews and next year, we won't be disappointed in the annual snowflake.
I am a pretty experienced hobby woodworker. I personally don't care for this glue. It's messy, it foams up, isn't as strong as other PVA glues like Titebond in tests. Overall, if I want a waterproof glue I'll use Titebond 3.
There is nothing worthwhile in Quicken 2013. Nearly every "feature" has a bug and I've spent months now trying to get this forced "upgrade" to work correctly so I can continue to directly download banking transactions, and even that has failed me miserably. Investment transaction accuracy - forget it - Quicken creates "placeholders" for stocks I don't even own any longer, wanting to create a BUY and SELL for the same number of shares. Mortgage loan accounts for rental properties - nope - interest for all mortgages is lumped together, so you cannot accurately track interest deductions for rental property (Schedule E) separately from personal mortgages (so that means importing to tax software isn't going to create the proper schedules). Split transfers - haha, don't even attempt it - you'll get double postings on both sides. Budgeting is now worthless - gone is the time-proven category/monthly detail two-pane view so you can customize non-monthly allowances and so is the auto-budget from scheduled transactions. Support? HAHAHAHAHA. What a joke - scripted answers and no technical expertise whatsoever, and only marginal understanding of how the software even works (I had to explain how to navigate into the mortgage loan detail!) I'd like to know how Intuit is spending all the revenue from the forced every three year updates - it certainly isn't going into any software QC!
