HrThese clippers work great for trimming small branches, flowers, and scrubs. I trimmed my entire lilac bushes in about an hour. With a little effort, the larger shears will even cut through a 1/2 inch branch, although I dont believe they they are intended for this purpose. I dont have a lot of strength in my hands, so I cut around the branch until it got thin enough to cut it through the middle.
