Twelve years I've used this product, after chancing upon someone's blog post about it. Life-changing...went from 5-7 days/month of feeling utterly repulsive, to 5-7 days of almost forgetting I even have my period. I would never go back to pads and tampons. I have to repress the urge to buy a lifetime supply of these.
Where to begin. Think the jointer I received must have been at the end or beginning of a production run. Fence adjustments can only be described as clunky. First pass produced a large snip at the end of the board. Attempted to adjust the blade height. One of the adjustment screw heads had been stripped out at the factory. Called Woodstock customer support. After explaining the snip problem and the stripped screw problem, I had to reference the page number of the blade adjustment section of the manual to the rep. He told me the blade edge should be flush with the outfeed table height - I agreed, but the manual clearly states the blade should move a straight edge placed on the outfeed table an eighth of an inch when the blade is rotated. The blades supplied were at the lowest adjustment point and were clearly pulling the straight edge two to three times the specified travel distance. Replacement screws were promptly shipped. When they arrived, I found the thread pitch of the replacement screws to be much finer than the original screw. After examining the blade adjustment mechanism, it was clear the blade would not adjust any lower. I decided at this point to throw in the towel and return the jointer. I choose this rating because I think the book could have been a bit more informative on the amounts of each minerals and nutrients, vitamins. Also He should offer a whole complete package that includes every thing.
