Family Tree Maker 2012 is better than prior versions but still not great. The interface is much cleaner than prior versions and the upgrade process (I had a data file from an older version of FTM) worked flawlessly.
If you have been following the analysis and commentary of Thom or say Robert Reich, you understand the increasing inequalities as based in the "welfare" and breaks extended to the super rich (royals) and large corporations. Thom Hartmann adds in the mix of global trends (Germany is finally going to win the "world war" via economics) and his summary of history is very well done. The political, policy, and social changes to change this... or actually reclaim it after the crash are likewise well presented (based on your political views of course). However I would point out that he offers no individual "crash preparation" for the average person - gold, cash, stockpile food, sell your home, etc.. other than to point out the "royals" are cutting their investments and hording pure cash to prepare themselves for what is about to happen. I am not sure what paper would be worth the greatest depression with confidence lost in government paper. However, its a good read.
Don't buy Kaspersky!!! Big destructive bug in latest Kaspersky Antivirus 2015 update. I installed Kaspersky 2015 in February 2015 and on 3 computers, 1 Windows 8.1 & 2 Windows 7. On 5/24/15 my 8.1 & one 7.0 machine crashed. After spending 1 hour with my ISP tech, two hours with a Lenovo tech & 4 hours with Kaspersky techs, here's what I found the problems. What they are recommending is to remove their 2015 version and down load 2014!
A very basic guide to HR. I purchased this, after having basic HR experience for a few months. This is really more of an overview of what you can expect in a career for HR, rather than a how-to guide. Great if you're thinking of going into HR and want an overview, not great for the working HR professional.
My husband and I have used a couple of different types of neti pots and then we saw a commercial on tv for the Navage and thought it looked really interesting. I found that the neti pots could be a little messy and I had trouble with the water going down the back of my throat if I didn't hold my head at just the right angle, lean forward over the sink, etc and it could be really gross. Also if my nose was plugged up with mucous sometimes it didn't work at all because the water had no where to go. I was against the navage at first because of the cost and having to buy replacement packs of the nasal solution. My husband ordered it and found a youtube video instructing how to reuse the base of a pod over and over again so that you don't have to purchase the refills fitted specifically for this system. The base of the pod can be trimmed and left in the unit, then you put a little salt (we bought a jar of neti salt on Amazon) down in the water chamber, then fill with warm water to the fill line. This seems to save a lot of money and works just as well. So, problem solved there and it actually works really well too. We both love the navage and once we got the hang of it were using it once or twice a day. It helped me with colds/runny nose, allergies, and I just felt like I could breather more clearly in general. We both love it. The suction is very strong once you get the nose pads situated in your nose and I had no trouble with the nasty water going down my throat either!
