I distinctly remember listening to a review of Parachute on the radio while in my car driving and saying to myself, "I need to buy this book." But good intentions have a way of not being put into action. It was years later when faced with a midlife career change and not knowing what I was going to do that my brother reminded me of this book.
Billy Bob doing what he does best. Playing a flawed person with great sadness and great compassion behind his eyes. William Hurt is extraordinarily creepy as the Big Boss and nemesis of Billy Bob's character. The women in the show are a great bunch of characters. Kelly is just plain nasty. The troubled ex-wife, Maria Bello's character, who herself was a little too easy to manipulate by just about everyone. I loved the daughter of Thornton and Bello and I think she could have been examined a bit further. Great actress by the way. The ladies working mostly with Billy Bob are brilliant and each has their own storyline. Great show and I hope they do a season 2 as it is well worth binge watching for a couple of nights.
With so many of the listed scholarships online, which is what the authors are trying to circumnavigate stating those are the ones everyone else is applying for, it makes the listings that much more cumbersome. I bought the book expressly to find ones that are not online or subject to redundant invites to enroll in programs that essentially email and phone spam the applicant. The "advice" isn't anything different than what's online. Frankly, I'd have been more willing to pay the same amount for a more finite listing, preferably with an online subscription that would allow me to sort by a variety of factors such as deadlines, requirements, geographical factors, etc.
Roi Majors is second in control of the I-Ops, hard to tell by his show of respect or lack there of, a wolf shifter who rates at the top of the womanizing scale. He is still convinced he never wants to settle when he meets up again with the woman he recently kidnapped to protect.
