I have used QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for several years. Okay, since the recession, when cutting the expense of a payroll service was an easy way to save money. I also realized that the payroll service would take some of our money (federal unemployment) in January, and not submit that money to the government until it was due one year later. Enough of that.
I purchased this new edition of Quicken, hoping that it was an improvement over a version I used several years ago. A huge mistake. Two major problems would prompt me to give it minus stars if I could. First, it cannot access on-line my credit union checking account, even though the credit union is listed as one of the participating institutions that Quicken recognizes. Quicken cannot negotiate my ID and password. Customer support had no solution, Second (real killer), Quicken cannot display accurate information downloaded from my primary investment institution. Withdrawals from my money market are not accurately listed. Investments into my IRA account are not accurately listed. Displayed amounts in Quicken are off by thousands of dollars. A little investigation revealed that unless Quicken recognizes a source account for a deposit or a receiving account for a withdrawal, it just does a net zero withdrawal and deposit to the same account as its default transaction! Unbelievable!! Furthermore, there is no apparent way to manually correct the mistake!! Unless you want to lose track of your finances and spend inordinate time with a lame customer support service, avoid this product at all cost.
Great savings. Convenient Kindle delivery and having it with me when my normal routine slows down. Waiting at the doctors office, train or bus goes by faster when you have this magazine downloaded and ready to read. Interesting reading will have you going back for more.
